Welcome to the first day of the Lulu and Celeste, Sprouting Jube Jube Productions latest blog tour.  This tour is called The Swimsuit Edition and is running until the 30th.  As usual there’s a lot happening this week.  I’ll get to that at the end.

When Deb and Ula announced their latest blog tour I had to join in. Miss Diva has all of a sudden decided to grow. So NOTHING from last summer fits.  She also has a long torso and that means she’s better off having mommy made suits.

I have many swimsuit patterns and I have not made them all so I run into the problem I ALWAYS have, making a decision. For this post I chose The Ultimate Suit by Boo Designs*. It was one of the patterns that could be found in One Thimble Issue 13*. Unfortunately, when I did my post for that issue we were in full fall mode.  No need for a new swimsuit. I didn’t forget about it though, so here we are at the beginning of summer.

This was my first Boo Designs* pattern and I was not disappointed. The instructions and graphics were very clear and I had no problem getting through the pattern.  However, my serger decided that it was going to go on vacation when I started attaching one of the  leg elastics.  Enter my vintage Singer to remind all of my newer machines why it’s a BOSS.  So my 401a and I made short work of the rest of the elastics and completed her new swimsuit.

We love it. Can you tell? She played in her new suit for about 45 minutes after we finished taking pictures and this suit does not move.  There was no riding up or shoulder straps that don’t stay in place.

I went fairly basic for this first one, but the possibilities are endless with this pattern.  Give it a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

I’m not going to keep you long.  There are SO MANY blogs to read this week.  We have been very busy for the last month.  As promised there’s a lot happening this week.  We have a rafflecopter every day and you can enter a Rafflecopter giveaway for today.  We also have a Rafflecopter giveaway for a GRAND PRIZE!!! You can go to Sprouting JubeJube and find out all the details for this week’s prizes.

This week there are many great bloggers.  Here is the schedule and you might me see me again later this week at a different blog.  So be sure to check back daily.

  4. I love the colors on your suit, and I love how happy your little one looks in it! I feel you on the whole long torso deal. It makes swimsuit shopping a non-event here, and I usually just automatically plan to make my daughter’s suits every year. Amazing job!

Thank you! She does love her suit. EXACTLY!! They are very lucky to have mamas that sew. Store bought suits just don’t cut it.
