The latest issue of One Thimble* is here. No, I’m not lying. It’s here and I have an awesome shirt to share with all of you today. It’s the Cozumel Shirt by Winter Wear Designs. I am a big fan of Suzanne’s patterns. Her patterns are stylish, fun to sew up, and don’t make you want to pull your hair out during construction.
I saw a post 3 weeks ago asking for bloggers for a boy’s pattern. I thought to myself,”Go ahead and sign up.” Big L doesn’t get as many things sewn up for him , but he’s such a willing model (now). I showed my son and he was ready to go choose his fahvrics (how he says it). So what did we do? We battled a storm to get to Joann’s so he could find a fahvric for his shirt. Three aisles in, he found this car related fabric that just sung to his soul. How could I tell him no? So we got his fahvric and got to work.
First, let me just say that I love the pintucks on this shirt. Why do girls get to have all the fun? Let’s talk pattern specifics. There are 3 sleeve lengths, 2 collar options, lined or unlined sleeves, sleeve tabs, a back loop and lots of style. Don’t like buttons? That’s fine. Use snaps. Suzanne just gets it. Our boys want to look and feel good too.
He loves his shirt and I love these pin tucks. He has already decided that he needs at least one more in a different fahvric, because you can’t have 2 of the exact same shirt (His words. Not mine.)
You definitely want to get your copy of this issue. It is full of amazing patterns. This pattern in particular is great for back to school. Do you only see 1 or 2 patterns that you like? That’s cool you can purchase individual patterns in the One Thimble Store.
Please take a peek at the other blogs during this tour. So many talented bloggers making great things with the patterns from the latest issue.
